Harry Luna -- Board President

Harry Luna has been at the center of Trenton's South Ward vitalization effort as the Chairman of the Latino Chamber of Commerce. He has worked hard to attract business and developers to the Trenton area. Mr. Luna has struggled against crime and drug traffic in Trenton and agreed to join the New Horizon Treatment Services, Inc. Board of Directors, to extend his efforts to assisting the addiction problem in Trenton.

Mr. Luna brings a wide variety of experience and expertise to New Horizon Treatment Services, Inc. He is a leader in the Latino community, liaison between law efforcment officials and the community, a business man, and active in civic groups assisting at-risk children and the community.

Vincent J. Gaughan, Esq

Vincent J. Gaughan is an attorney practicing law in New Jersey since his graduation from Rutgers Camden School of Law in 1990. He has served on the Board of Directors at New Horizons for the last eight years, since early in the year 2000. Mr. Gaughan runs a solo legal practice, currently based in Mt. Holly. His practice concentrates in Family Law and criminal defense, with specialization in DYFS matters and Appeals including three reported cases at the Appellate Division level. Vince is originally from the area, having attended elementary school in Hamilton and Ewing Townships, while his father was a professor and administrator at Trenton State College.

Eva Alicea-Roman

Eva Alicea-Roman is the president of Alicea Business Solutions Corporation. Located in Trenton, it is a firm that provides income tax and accounting services to individuals and small businesses. Ms Alicea-Roman has been a trustee for New Horizon Treatment Services for two years and takes pride in being part of an organization that provides much needed help to the Trenton area.

Born and raised in the City of Trenton, Eva is involved with the community and sponsors many local organizations. She lives in Ewing Township with her husband, Heriberto, and their two children.

Joan York, PhD, LCADC

Joan York is a Graduate of Union University with a degree in Counseling Psychology. Presently, she is working as a licensed private practitioner, providing psychotherapy for adults with problems ranging from depression, anxiety, and panic attacks, to substance abuse. She also worked, for 28 years, for the State of New Jersey Department of Personnel Employee Assistance Program; 10 of those years as Manager of the program.

Ms. York has been on the Board of New Horizons Treatment Service for three years. Her position on the board enables her to assist New Horizons in meeting the needs of the community.

Elaine M. Muschal, AMD, DHPsy., D.Ay., M.Ed.

Ms. Muschal received her degrees as Doctor of Alternative Medicine and Doctor of Health Psychology from the Alternative Medicine Research Institute in Vancouver, BC, Canada. A graduate of the New England Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in Boston and a Diplomate of Ayurvedic Health Sciences, she also received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education from the College of New Jersey, where she has been an Adjunct Professor. She is a member of the American Alternative Medical Association and the American Association of Drugless Practioners.

Ms. Muschal uses non-invasive techniques to help individuals improve their health and manage pain.
