Job Announcement: Registered Nurse
Qualifications
- Licensed by the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Nurse.

Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants
Job Duties/Responsiblities
- Administration of medication to patients
- Assures proper recording of dosage and any changes
- Assesses client's condition and determines client's ability to receive methadone
- Proper safe guards of methadone accountability
- Maintains proper client confidentiality
- Assures client compliance with agency policies relating to methadone medication
- Works with physician in providing medical services to patients and staff, including physicals, medical consultations, etc.
- Draws blood-work on patients and staff as needed
- Administers PPDs
- Educates clients regarding methadone treatment
- Orients client to proper procedures for receiving methadone and submission of urine specimens
- Provides clients with information about other health related topics
- Assures that nursing notes are provide on all patients, at least quarterly, and more often if indicated
- Documentation of medication dispensed, quest medication, telephone calls, and other client information
- Assures physician orders are recorded on client medical chart
- Assures that arrears and/or administrative detox orders are recorded on client medical chart.
- Assures proper handling of all medical waste
- Assists with other professionally recognized such as medical emergencies
- Acts as medical resource person for other staff
- Acts as medical liaison with outside agencies
